In this role, he builds financial support for the Oregon FFA Association and advocate for agriculture, students, and rural communities. Between graduating from law school and beginning work for Stoel Rives, Kirk clerked for Judge Carlos Bea on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.Д«efore starting his legal career, Kirk served as a state officer for the Oregon Future Farmers of America (FFA) Association, and he currently serves as President of the Board of Directors for the Oregon FFA Foundation. This passion led him to Georgetown Law, where he began developing the foundation for his legal practice. He discovered his passion for natural resources and environmental law and policy on the farm and at Oregon State University.

He focuses on the needs of these industries and advises clients on issues related to water rights, farmland and timberland transactions, protected species, and solid waste regulations.

KirkвЂ™s practice involves advising clients in natural resource industries, including timber and forest products companies, agribusinesses, water suppliers, and manufacturers. He recognizes that not every issue requires a complex legal solution, and this allows him to identify more straightforward, cost-effective solutions for clients. That real-world work experience shapes his understanding of the challenges clients faceВ and influences his practical approach to problem solving. Kirk grew up working on his familyвЂ™s farm and feedlot in eastern Oregon. He has deep roots in Oregon agriculture and co-leads Stoel RivesвЂ™ firm-wide Agribusiness, Food, Beverage, and Timber industry group.
